We drove to Phoenix this past weekend.
The drive went smooth. No toddler melt downs and no melt downs from me. You should all be proud!
We arrived late Friday night and the kiddos were so excited to see each other, so we just let them play. Until you know, 11:00 at night. The perfect bedtime for a two year old.
The next morning the kids couldn't wait to play. So we ventured outside. I forgot how hot Phoenix gets. I don't know how people deal with that kind of heat. Bless them all!
We may have to buy a trampoline.
I went to the Wine Walk with dear friends. It was great catching up and enjoying each other's company. Nothing beats good friend time.
I left before all the craziness of day time drinking may bring :)
Instead we went to Peter Piper Pizza with my cousin and her kiddos.
This was my first experience with Peter Piper Pizza. And all I can say is it seems like crack for two year olds. I'm just saying. All the kids and even the adults slept very well that night.
Sunday we went to CCV with my family and Philip was able to meet up with his very best friend. The boys decided to go and drink beers and watch football.
I, however, had the privilege of meeting my dear friend's 5 week old son.
No lie, I sat for 3 hours snuggling that amazing boy. Okay, minus thirty minutes so his momma could nurse.
I love him so.
This is just what I needed. I am officially ready for another baby!
After we left, we went to my Aunt Karen's house for a family dinner. It was nice to gather all of us and mingle. The kids played. The adults sipped some wine. And we even attempted some family pictures.
Max and Noah, my cousin's four year old son, really hit it off. I think that they had the most fun.
They are holding hands in this pic, so sweet!
Max also took a liking to Noah's sister, Aubrie. Aubrie was so gentle with him. She is very motherly.
Practicing push ups and a little morning coloring.
We were sad to have to leave Monday morning. As with any trip, it was not long enough. We are so thankful to my cousin Jackie and Steven for opening their home to my family. We had such a great time. Now it is their turn to come and visit us :)

On our way back home we stopped in Flagstaff and had lunch. My! has it changed. Phil and I enjoyed reminiscing on the good ol' days. It was fun to show Max the town. After we told Max this is where mommy and daddy got married, he said, momma and daddy get married. It was super adorable.
We had to stop at one of my favorite restaurants.
Yep, I took the picture from inside, and I was too lazy to go outside and get the picture. Sorry it's backwards. I was too busy eating!
Can you blame me???
