The Maasdam

After our adventure in Boston we made our way to the vessel.

We traveled on the Maasdam to many exciting places.

I was a little nervous to be on a big ship. I know it is silly but I thought many negative things. For example,
what if the ship sinks, what if I am sea sick, what if Max falls overboard (crazy, I know).
My nerves settled as we set sail to Maine. The ship was sailing smoothly and no one was sea sick. We never lost Max to the big body of water either :)

Leaving Boston

Our first stop was to Bar Harbor, Maine. Let me tell you, I think that this little town was simply adorable and I can definitely see myself living there...someday.
That night on the ship was Formal Night, meaning you dress all fancy and enjoy a nice dinner. We had a wonderful wait staff that loved Max.
Our waiter Pater...

and bar tender Myra...

just ate up his adorableness, who wouldn't right?

Getting ready...future Tom Cruise?!?

Our next stop was Halifax. We were officially in Canada. I think we would have visited longer but the weather was chilly and rainy. We made our way back to the ship after a quick walk through the town.
I loved the light houses that we saw!
Our next stop was Sydney. The weather was gorgeous and this was a fun quaint little town!

These signs were everywhere, I thought they were hysterical. I later learned they meant information.
By this point of the cruise I was settled. I loved that we were able to travel to many places but still be taken care of. We were able to eat pretty much whenever. They had a wonderful variety of food. My little Max just about tried everything from gourmet soups to ice cream (his favorite). Max also was known by almost everyone on the cruise. Random staff and other travelers would come up to me and say how cute and happy he was. He also ate up all the attention. He was waited on hand and foot and he seems to want that even now that we are home.

We then sailed to Prince Edwards Island. This place is God's country. It was absolutely gorgeous, from the architecture to the green land, every view was breath taking.

We had a day at sea and this was nice just to have time to explore the ship. I think that Max enjoyed the exploring the most.

At the Casino with Daddy!
Too bad Phil's eyes are closed...bummer!

We then visited Quebec and this was like a mini France. We took a walking and wine tour while Mimi and Pop watched Max.

Quebec by far was my favorite city that we visited.

After our day of exploring in Quebec we sailed onto Montreal. This was a final stop and where we disembarked the good ol' Maasdam.

More pictures of the cruise....

The one thing about this trip that I really loved, was all the BEAUTIFUL flowers we saw.

The B.O.B was our life saver as we visited all the ports.
Here are some of the animals that were created out of the towels. Max thought they were to play with and was very disappointed when they fell apart as he tried to grab them.

We left the cruise ship nice and relaxed. We were ready to take Montreal head on! More on Montreal next time.
