Boston!

We are home and happy. We were gone 12 days and visited many fascinating places.

I will begin with Boston.

We arrived at the ABQ airport nice and early for our day of travel. Max's fever was gone and he was in a great mood. I decided to change his diaper before we got on the plane and as I was changing him I noticed a rash all over his body. I pretty much freaked out. My MIL was with me and thank goodness she is a nurse. She took a look at it and told me not to worry. Of course I did, but she was right, the rash went away within 36 hours.

I LOVED Boston. The city was not only historic it was beautiful. I loved the bustle and business while walking the streets. I also loved that around every corner was something new to see. We stayed at a gorgeous boutique hotel called XV. I could have lived there. The room was awesome and they took amazing care of us...even my sweet Maxwell.

We walked the Freedom Trail and everyone should do this at least once.

We went to the aquarium and might I say our aquarium had nothing on Boston's. I enjoyed all of Maxwell's screeches and giggles of excitement. Music to a mother's ear.
Max loved the penguins, as did I.
We strolled to Boston Common park and enjoyed the duckies. Max would have taken one home if I would have let him.

Beautiful, right?

I pick that one mommy!
And then there are the Red Sox. We were able to go to a game and my husband was so super excited. First, Philip LOVES the Red Sox. Second, he wanted to take his boy to his first game. And Third, we were in Boston and it would be silly not to go. We sat about 10 rows behind third base. I am not a huge baseball fan but Fenway park turned me into one. Going to Fenway is like going to another country. The fans are DIE HARD fans that bleed red and blue. The atmosphere is excitement blended with a lot of sweat (it was VERY warm and the fans are up and cheering constantly). Max did really well. He fussed a little and took a very sweaty nap in Mimi's arms. Needless to say it was awesome and I am grateful we were able to go.

On our way to Fenway

Probably my favorite picture of the whole trip, LOVE MY BOYS!

Big Papi...
who hit a home run, the first of many that night. Look at the fans cheer!

And no baseball game would be complete without...

We all enjoyed Boston. We probably could have stayed and explored the city a little more. However, our Vessel was waiting for us. More on the cruise later!
