I think the biggest surprise for Max was my mother flew in on Saturday and Max really enjoyed her company. As did I. I needed lots of help and she provided.
Unfortunately there were two hiccups. I went to pick up the balloons one hour before the party and instead of the Cars balloons that I ordered I had Thomas the Train balloons :( It was an easy fix, minus taking 30 minutes of my time. The second hiccup was it rained during the party. And by rain, I mean POURED!!! I had a lot of outside games and activities planned but they could not happen. The kids and adults still had a great time.
It was a little weird for me, as Max isn't three until Monday. I didn't feel that tug in my heart of, "oh! my baby is getting big!" I am sure that will all come on Monday. Especially with these pregnancy hormones I am sure a few tears will fall :) None the less, my sweet boy had a great time. He has continued to tell Phil and I, thank you for such a fun birfday. I had so much fun with my fends!
Luckily I was feeling okay that day. I had Phil and my mom do most of the set up. I did not make a cake, which I felt bad about. Max did request cupcakes not a cake. I will say that when the last guest had left, I was zonked on the couch. I was too busy to realize how nauseous and tired I actually was.
So here are the pictures we managed to snap. I took more video this year and as soon as I edit it, I will add it to the blog.
The food was so fun to put together...
Some of the decorations, not all....

This game and three year olds was absolutely hysterical. I have the greatest videos...
This boy had a great time. Happy 3rd Birthday Party Max!!!!
