just keep swimming!

We signed Max up for swim lessons. He is such a little fish! He loves to go and is fearless in the water. His teacher Miss Amy is just wonderful. They have a great time together and she always asks me if she can take Max home...I always say no :)

The other day at swim lessons Max had to complete a certain task. Basically he had to swim under water up to the edge of the pool, pull himself up and then proceed to knock over a foam animal that was on the edge of the pool. He had to do it a total of 3 times. The first time he tried so hard. He grunted as he lifted himself up to knock over the foam animal. It took everything in me to not go over and help him. This was probably the first time that I have ever seen him struggle. He was grunting and breathing heavy and this momma had the hardest time staying in her seat. All I wanted to do was take the burden off of him and I wanted to carry it. It kind of reminded me of Jesus. He calls us to give Him our burdens. He is willing to carry them for us. He loves us so much that He doesn't want us to struggle. I love Max so much that I didn't want him to struggle either. But! The second and third time he was able to do it. Easy Peasy! He persevered and that made me proud. Very proud. Maybe there was a few tears...maybe. He didn't give up. That is something that I want Max to carry through his life. I don't want him to give up when things get tough.

This boy amazes me.
