This conversation took place this morning in our backyard as I was watering the garden.
Max: Look Mom Mom!
Me: Look at what Max?
Max: The moon, I see a moon!
Me: Yes, baby, that is the moon. What color is the moon?
Max: White. Mommy I get the moon?
Me: Well, darling, you can't reach it.
Max: I jump to the moon. (he then proceeds to jump with all his might, arms reached up as high as he can put them) It's stuck.
Me: Well kind of, we can say it is stuck.
Max: Mom Mom, put the moon in wagon?
Me: Sweetie I can't reach it. It wouldn't fit in your wagon anyways dear.
Max: I need moon in my wagon.
Me: Sorry Max.
Max: I go to moon.
Me: Maybe one day you will.
Max: Mom Mom, get the moon pease?
Me: Max, if I could I would.
Max: I no like the moon.
I love this kid. I love our conversations. I love that I am able to stay home with him. I love that I don't miss little conversations like this one.
If I could reach the moon and give it to him, I would. I wonder if he knows that?
Landon is OBSESSED with the moon! all day long he keeps asking where it is, and he wants to read "Goodnight Moon" over and over again! Funny Kids!
