Mother's Day Part 2

It has become our family tradition to go to Pendaries. I use to think that I enjoy vacations on the beach, reading a magazine and sipping on an icy refreshing whatever. I am so a mountain lover. I love the sound of the wind rustling through the trees. I love the chirping birds early in the morning. I love furry animals that you see rush past in the corner of your eye.
Pendaries reminds me of home. It reminds me of where Phil and I got married. It makes me happy!

Max thoroughly enjoyed himself and all the wild life. He was able to chat with chipmunks, which might I add, are super friendly.
He was waving and saying, Hi, to this little guy.

He searched high and low for Bambi and sure enough, on our way home from dinner his little eyes, for the first time ever, saw a real live Bambi. And nothing can beat that. It was priceless!
(don't you worry he was in his car seat as soon as we started to drive)

Of course the trip wouldn't be complete without some geese. Max thought that chasing them was a little slice of heaven. Poor geese!

Phil was able to play golf. I will admit I hit a few balls and this sport is not easy. My hubby sure makes it look easy peasy!
Max was able to soak in some rides on the golf cart. He LOVED the golf cart. As we would drive he would shout, WEE this is fun, I like it!!

He drove with me and I couldn't help but notice these small, teeny tiny fingers. I could just eat them up.
This trip was special because I was with my family celebrating motherhood. There is absolutely nothing better then being a mother.
I feel crazy blessed to be his mom.
I was given gifts. They were all very much appreciated. My heart melted a little when I opened this.
I knew that daddy and Max were up to something, as I found paint splattering around the house earlier that week. This picture does not do it justice. For those of you who have been to my house my family room colors are a burnt orange and a chocolate brown. Phil, I mean Max, really did a great job choosing the colors to make it fit perfectly in the room.
I enjoyed my special day. I thank my mother for raising me and loving me, as I now fully understand all the hard work that goes into be a mother. I thank my mother-in-law for her unconditional love and support. I couldn't ask for better ladies in my life.
I just hope that Max knows how much I love being his Mom Mom.
