A little bit of everything

Today I am sick. I always get sick the last few weeks of school. I am beyond thrilled that school is out in 8 days. I can not wait to spend all my time with my boys. I love that the hubs is a teacher also.

Because I have been sick I have not ran in three days, which stinks. I had an awesome 8 mile run on Saturday which is holding me over. Hopefully I can get up and run tomorrow morning. Cross your fingers that I start to feel like my normal self again.

Phil and I have been discussing trying out a new church. One of my friends at work attends the church that Phil and I want to try. On Saturday we are going to try it out and then go to dinner with my friend and her hubby as well as her son. Max and her son are similar in age so it should be a good time.

Max knows some of his shapes. I have been teaching him and today he passed his test :). Such a proud mommy moment.

Max is obsessed with fish and oceans and the coral reef. Yes, I said the coral reef. He can name different types of coral and most fish that live in the deep blue sea. I have to give Phil all the credit, because he is always reading to Max about the different types of fish. I have been cleaning out my classroom at work and came across a big book all about the coral reef. Needless to say this boy was in heaven!
(Thanks Jojo for the Koala, he kind of loves him)

We also bought Max a F.A.O. Shwarz stuffed coral reef this weekend. It comes with a stuffed coral reef and six stuffed sea creatures. When Max saw it he hugged it and said, I love it, I love it this. How could we not buy it. He still carries it around the house telling all who care to listen how much he loves it.

I am feeling a little homesick. I miss my family and a trip to see them needs to happen. I hope to visit Colorado this summer as well as Phoenix. A good friend of mine is having her self a sweet baby come August so I need to see her in her pregnant glory. Of course I want to see other faces that I have not seen in over a year!!!

Phil and I will be celebrating our four year anniversary next week. I am looking forward to some alone time with just me and the hubs. It is hard to believe that four years ago I was preparing for a wedding. It is hard to believe that in just four years we have created a very blessed life together. I am eternally grateful for Phil.

I am preparing for the last 8 days of work. It will be crazy and exhausting. But I am SO ready. Reports need to be finished, placements need to finalized, classroom needs to be cleaned and organized. I may have failed to mention that an opportunity came about and I will be working next year. Only a couple days a week. I can handle 2 days of work a week. Max will start preschool. He needs it. He needs the socialization as well as the education. He is one smart cookie and I know that he will flourish in a school setting. So while I work those days, Max will go to school. I really couldn't ask for anything better. It is a pretty sweet deal. I thank the Lord for His plan. He always works everything out for His good!
