16!

Months, that is. Although, if this age is any indication of what the sweet sixteen will be like, we may be screwed. I thought I was the lucky mommy who wouldn't have to go through the temper tantrum stage before 2. This sweet angelic boy of mine, who once loved to snuggle and sleep in the nook of my arms is now a screaming, arm flailing, kicking monster. Okay, not really and not all the time. But boy when it begins WATCH OUT. I am lucky enough that I can ignore most of it. I am watching to make sure he is safe. As soon as he realizes mommy is not giving in, he gives up.

Any who....what else is this monster up to you may wonder???

Stats:

20 pounds 13 ounces, below the 5th percentile

I freaked about that, but doc said not to worry he has always been small!

31 1/2 inches tall 25th percentile

He is just going to be a petite little guy like his mommy! 

Sleep:
ABSOLUTE HEAVEN! One super good nap during the day about 2-2 1/2 hours (sometimes 2 naps 1 hour each) and 11-12 hours at night.

Teeth:
9 teeth
4 on top
4 on bottom
1 molar breaking through

Eating: 
Seems to be more picky. He could care less about the vegetables, but don't you worry I am super stealth and sneak them into his meals and he has no idea. HA!
He loves oatmeal and bagels, LOVES grapefruit and anything sour, definitely gets that from daddy. Loves the morning star chicken (really veggie) nuggets. Pizza he loves and would eat it every meal if I would allow. Will eat just about anything with ketchup. He can also tell me what he wants. He can ask for a snack, milk, juice, water, bagel, and cereal. Oddly enough he DOES NOT ask for veggies :). He knows all the words! So proud!

Play:
Adores Buzz, Woody, Elmo, and Mickey. He loves to read and will hand you a book and and say lap. Which I have learned means, read to me mommy. 
He likes to stack his Lego's and cups.
He enjoys coloring.
He loves ALL animals and knows most animal sounds. He will say them when asked.

Talking:
I could make a list of his vocabulary, but really he knows about 100+ words. Some of my favorite words he says lately include:
Empty
Yellow
Camera
Star
Color
Bagel (he says Bogel)
Oatmeal (he says Omeal)
potty
roars like a lion
He is also saying two words together. Example: daddy's cup, mom mom help, mom mom up, wa dis (whats this), bite of, milk cup, etc.


New skills:
Jumps
Balance on his tip toes
Hands me diapers when he needs a new one
Spins in circles
Kicks a ball
Puts his toys away
Helps me pick up
We no longer use the bottle, but we still have the binky used only in the car and for sleep...hey its progress!

Even though this child can be a monster, he sure is cute. And he is lucky that he is cute ;)

 

*Max will not be 16 months until tomorrow, but tomorrow is back to work for me, UGH! Only 92 more days until summer, but who is counting?!?
