I'm not one to brag.....

....but....

I have the most amazing child ever!!!!

We took a road trip to Colorado this past weekend. I was terrified that Max would have a hard time in the car for 7 hours. I figured we would have to stop at rest stops so he could get out and stretch his chubby legs. Friends, he was an ANGEL!!!! He didn't fuss once. I fed him and changed him when we stopped to get gas, otherwise he was in his car seat. He was happy as a clam. Philip and I took turns driving or playing with Max in the back seat. We did however fight over who got to play with Max.

I was very excited to see my mom and sister. The last time I saw my mother was over Christmas and Max was only 3 months old. The last time I saw my sister was when Max was 1 month old. My Mom was shocked by how much little Maxwell had grown up. Max LOVED my mom and it was adorable to see them interact. He wanted grandma to hold him more then me.

Max also met his cousins for the first time. Makenna, who is 8, was super great with Max. She was a natural mommy. Raegan, who is 7, enjoyed Max's company. And Jakob, who is 6, liked having another boy around. Max loves kids so he was in baby heaven. He fit in well with the older kids :)

We were sad to leave but we are super grateful that we were able to spend quality time with family. Philip and I are done traveling for the summer. I may make a trip to Phoenix to celebrate a great friends bachelorette party. I will leave Max and daddy at home, I am still struggling leaving Max, so we will see what happens.

Quick Update!

I have 1 month until I go back to work. Already starting to feel a little sad but I have an amazing baby sitter who we are visiting tomorrow. Max and I are super excited to see our favorite Ms. Johanna!

I am in the process of fine tuning Maxwell's 1st Birthday Party. It has been so much fun putting it together.

I am enjoying every second that I have at home. I have started a new bible study and I already feel that the Lord has given me peace in areas that I need it. I truly believe that it is making me a better mother and wife.

I am a excited for school to begin (even though I will miss my angel baby like crazy). I love the feeling of preparing for the first day of school and seeing the students who will become a part of my heart over the 9 months that I spend with them.
