I was so excited this morning when I woke up! Philip and I were going to take Max to see Santa. He usually eats around 9:30 but today he slept and ate at 10:00. We quickly changed him, placed him in his car seat, and we were out the door. Max was in such a good mood, squealing and laughing all the way to the mall! Once we got there we placed him in his stroller and we were off. Max was going to see Santa!
Look how happy he is!
We walked through JC Penny so excited for Max. This was a moment for Philip and I, we were taking our baby boy to see Santa. The magic of Santa is so sweet to see through a child's eyes...yes we know Max is 3 months old, but still it was a moment!
We walked to where Santa was and we were shocked!!! The line wrapped around the cookie shop all the way to Victoria's Secret. For those of you who have never been to Cottonwood Mall before, this is a VERY loooooong line. We arrived 6 minutes after the line opened! I would have taken a picture but I thought the people in line might think I was crazy. Phil and I decided to wait it out, Max was in a great mood. After about 20 minutes we maybe moved two steps. Max was beginning to get bored. I took him out of his stroller hoping it would buy me another 20 minutes or an hour at the rate we were moving. Unfortunately Max lasted another 10 minutes and began to fuss (not cry, just telling us 'mom and dad I'm done').
Needless to say we didn't see Santa! I am hoping that later today or tomorrow will bring better luck. We will get that picture with Santa, even if Philip has to dress up as him. I don't think Phil will mind...do you???
Max on the way home...Poor guy probably thought mom and dad were crazy to drive all the way to the mall just to stand in a line.
