the little things...

I am so thankful that I job share with such a wonderful person. We are able to communicate daily and we are always on the same page. Currently, we are going through some tough times in our classroom. I spoke with her for about 45 minutes today and I could hear her frustration and she could hear mine. We are a good support for each other.

However, when I got off the phone with her I became very upset. Just feeling run down and out of ideas.

As I was leaving to go pick Max up from preschool, I was letting my emotions get the best of me. I called my best friend, my husband, to vent. He listened and then I let him go.

As I walked into Max's class his teacher stopped me and said, "I need to tell you something" GREAT! I thought, what now... She then said, "I didn't want to forget so I kept reminding myself all day to tell you what Max said this morning" Umm...okay??? She proceeded to say that, "During morning prayer, the class will pray if they feel led to do so. Max never has before and this morning he prayed for his new baby". AND then the tears just fell. As they are falling now. It was a nice reminder from God that what is important is my family and this baby. Yes, work is important also, I just need to keep my eyes focused on what really matters. I explained to his teacher that, that was exactly what I needed to hear.

It makes me feel good that my sweet boy knows to talk to God and it makes me even happier that his new baby is already loved by him so much.

I am so thankful for this moment today.
