What's in a name?

Can I just say that naming a child is so much harder then birth itself!

My poor sweet Max wasn't named until hours after his birth. I just had the hardest time finalizing it. Poor baby was known as Friedman Male for the first hours of his life. I didn't want to mess up. The funny thing now is, I couldn't imagine Max being any other name but Max.

With this baby on the way, Phil and I have had the hardest time deciding names. This time we have to choose two because we won't know if baby is a boy or a girl.

We have had many discussions and many texts or phone calls that go down like this, "what about _______? No! don't like it." "okay what about this______? Hmm...I kind of like it" Or I am in the shower and a name comes to me and I run out of the shower with soap dripping shouting, Phil! What about________?

Being as we are both teachers, naming a child is even more difficult. We associate names to students and that can either be a really good thing or a bad thing :)

But!!!!

We have finally come up with a girls name and a boys name.

We will not be sharing these names, sorry.

I can't wait to see which name we get to use.

I will say these names have been discussed for many of weeks. They are not names that were initially our favorite, but I have grown super fond of both of them.

In our name choosing, we definitely came up with nick names. Those are just as important! Maxwell was easy, Max. These names we had to really use our brains :)

I am getting so excited. I am 14 weeks and I feel like I have forever to go, which I do, I know.

I will give you initials. I won't say which is for the boy or the girl...I'll let the suspense drive you crazy!
