I said that last week was tough...boy, did I prove myself wrong. This week was way more difficult. I was running on about an hour of sleep each night. I ran Monday. I did not run again until Friday. I was able to squeeze in some cross training, but not enough to make a difference :/
Why?
Oh! You know, my husband broke his wrist. Playing four square. Don't ask.
So after dealing with him being in the E.R. all night, sleep was non-existent.
Then! Max got super sick. So sick that he couldn't sleep. He was diagnosed with herpangina. Sounds gross, I know. It is actually severe blisters on your throat. Max would not talk. He would only whisper a few words and he would not eat anything. He was in so much pain. It broke my heart to see him so miserable. As of yesterday he is back to himself. He still has a raspy voice, but he is happy.
So back to running. I ran Monday 4 miles. I ran Friday 5 1/2 miles. That is all. I did run today another 4 miles and rocked the run. I was running an 8:40 mile. I have high hopes for this week. I am done with school. Max is feeling better. Phil is still broken...I feel bad for him because running is just awkward for the poor guy.
This week will be better!
