I have not been blogging as much. I feel like I am kind of in a writing funk. But I will play a little catch up. I need to keep my family and friends up to date.
First off, all of you in Colorado and Vegas, I miss you guys!!!!
Secondly, The last part of our vacation was not fun. Max ended up getting super sick. We were at the mecca of germs so I knew it was bound to happen. His fever was so high he was hallucinating. The scariest thing that I have ever dealt with! We ended up driving to the E.R. at 2:00 a.m. Phil was a trooper navigating the streets of California. He was diagnosed with the flu. You can imagine how much fun that drive home was. He is healthy as a horse now. I am just grateful it happened on the last day of our trip and not the first. I have pictures of him in the hospital but I can not find them anywhere! I thanked God as he was laying in that bed. I thanked Him for Max being a healthy kid and I prayed for all those families with sick children that are at the hospital more often then not.
Thirdly, SPRING HAS SPRUNG! Okay, it actually seems like Spring was skipped and we have been enjoying Summer weather. 80 degrees means only one thing...
And last but not least, Phil and I are training for the Run for the Zoo Half Marathon. I signed us up last week. The registration fee was low for a half marathon, which was the main reason we decided to run it. I hate to pay such a high price to run in a race. I know the money typically goes to a good cause but still. We are able to run together because Mr. Max loves the B.O.B. and searching for animals. We had a nice run as a family yesterday morning.
Easter is coming up. Always an exciting holiday. One of my very favorites.
