A little bit of everything

So in 8 days it is Christmas. It snuck up on me this year. I have no presents wrapped. NONE! I am done with my shopping just no wrapping. This year I really enjoyed shopping for Max. He had a list. I can't wait to see his face when he opens his presents.

We are officially on Winter Break! Woot! This is my first year where I am not in need of/dying for a break from work. Another HUGE bonus of my work schedule. I am so so so thankful for it.

I am waiting for my UNM acceptance letter...at least I'm hoping that is what it will be. The program is pretty intense. It fits great into our family schedule. The days that I don't work I will take evening classes. Phil will stay with Max. This way no time will be taken from my sweet boy. I will also take some internet classes. It is hard to think that I may be a student again. I am good at school. I just don't love it :)

We as a family made a Gingerbread Boy this past week. Okay, Max actually made it. It was an absolute DISASTER. But Max, he had a tremendous amount of fun.

Stepping on sprinkle stars this past week was totally worth it, as long as my boy had fun.

Phil and I had a date night which involved happy hour, good eats, shopping, and a movie. We saw Breaking Dawn. I was SO disappointed. It was good...just good. I think the movie did not meet all the hype. Sorry all you lovers of the movie. I feel like the birth scene that everyone said was AMAZING, was so not. And the romance scenes....boring. Of course the book was better. I just feel that they should of rated the movie R and added all the juicy details. I am just saying.
Oh! But the soundtrack, it is wonderful. It is romantic and sexy and makes you want to move. I am actually listening to it as I type. I'm loving it. Go check out the Aqualung song, Cold, Sleeping At Last, Turning Page and Iron & Wine, Flightless Bird, I could listen to them forever and be happy. Really. No joke.

My mom is flying out on Tuesday. It will be nice to have her here for the holiday. I am hosting Christmas dinner and I have not even begun to think of what I will be serving. I will get to it.

I guess my neglect on my blog lately is my family. Not in a bad way. I am just really enjoying them. Of course I do every day and every moment. But something lately has me craving 2 year old hugs and kisses from my hubby.

Tonight Max accidentally touched Chippy, our elf. He started crying. He thought he was going to lose his magic. I told him not to worry, as long as he didn't fall he would be fine. Ha!

We have a very busy week of family, friends, food, Christmas activities, play dates, gym, church and so much more. I will be back to my blog soon. I promise.
