What to do?

Max can climb out of his crib. First time he fell, told me he hit his head and needed a band aid (ha!). He was totally fine by the way. The second, third, and fourth time was easy for him.

Today, however, he has not attempted it once. Do I wait to transition him to a big boy bed? Or do I worry and not sleep because I am afraid he is going to get out?

I was SO not ready for this. I was hoping we could make it to 2.5 - 3. But nope!

So here I am thinking what to do. Do I purchase a toddler bed? Do I put in a full or twin or queen???
I think that if we went the toddler bed route he would have more fun picking out bedding. Also with the toddler bed I think he would be more comfortable in it because its not too big and similar to crib size.

I could convert his crib but if and when baby #2 comes I am going to need it.

Hmm...

Or I could cage him in!
What to do???

  1. I would convert his crib to a toddler bed to get him used to him being in a bed. Then when baby #2 comes (is this happening soon by the way?)you can get max his own big boy bed and give the baby the nursery furniture. That's what we did with Landon and it made the transistion really easy and he took to the bed with no problem. We also put a baby gate on his door, so he can get out of bed and play in his room, but we don't have to worry about him wandering around the house at night or anything. Good luck!!!!
