4th of July

We celebrated the 4th with good friends, watermelon, a pool, good ol BBQ, fireworks and even a wasp sting. It was all American fun!

(yep Max has his paci, I will explain why in a few more sentences)

We kicked off the celebration with a little dip in the pool.

This boy indulged in a few pieces of watermelon.
It was good, can you tell?
Nothing beats a cold slice of watermelon on a super hot day.

My sweet boy was stung by a wasp. He was playing and I was chatting. I was watching him very carefully and all of the sudden he ran up to me crying. Really full on screaming. I just knew he was stung. A mothers intuition. He told me, mommy foot hurt! I hugged, I kissed, I prayed that he wasn't allergic. After a few wasp sting google searches and some benadryl we were back to our selves.
It swelled for a little over an hour. He didn't want to walk so we snuggled and I gave him his paci. He was happy.

We then of course started the fireworks, and by fireworks I mean, smoke bombs and some fountains.
The boys were pretty interested.

I hope your holiday was just as fun, minus the whole wasp sting ;)
