We flew into Dallas, Texas and then drove a couple of hours into Oklahoma to visit family. Family which I have never met. My mother-in-law grew up in Oklahoma and her family is still there. They hosted a family reunion in which we all attended. I really had a great time meeting family that I had often heard stories about and was able to put a face and personality to the stories. I was also able to hold a sweet new baby girl that was 7 weeks old. I was even able to feed her. I am not going to lie, I loved that sweet new baby smell and the perfect fit in my arms. Hmmm...no, not quite ready for another just yet. Maybe soon :)
Max had the most fun. He did great on the airplane. He actually LOVED it. He did okay in the car. I was surprised with how easy going he was. The actual traveling part was not the hard work. It was the chasing him around a huge lake house and golf cart rides galore that was hard. He played until he could no longer keep his eyes open.
His favorite part of the lake house:

He did go on a boat ride and splashed in the lake. He called his great uncle Ronnie, Uncle Boat. And his great uncle Ronnie called Max, Nephew Water. It was pretty sweet. He was over it pretty quick though.
His next favorite would have to be the golf cart.
I am sure he was in heaven here. He was on the golf cart with his favorite person, his uncle Nay Nate (uncle Nathan).
He was fascinated with the wind blowing in his hair and seeing the squirrels dart across the street.
We had a fun. We are exhausted. We are all probably up 5 pounds. And Max has a fever.
We are happy to be home.
