We're Livin' it Up!

We have been so busy these last few days. Our days and nights have been filled with dates, haircuts, runs, longer runs, circus, shopping, snuggling, love day, and oh a little bit of sleep. This is the first time I have sat on my couch in about 5 days. Crazy, huh?!?! It feels pretty good I must say. As much as I LOVE sitting on this couch, our busy days were so much more fun. Although they were very jam packed, I felt like we as a family were making sure to enjoy every busy moment.

On Friday evening, Phil's mom cam over so we could go on a date. Phil and I went to the movies. As sad as this is to admit, that was my first time at the movies since Max was born. I am not a big t.v. fan, can you tell?

On Saturday, my day started bright and early. Saturday mornings are my runs with Albuquerque Fit. I laced up my running shoes, chugged my coffee, and I hit the pavement. It was a GORGEOUS morning. I didn't need to be bundled head to toe, it was a great run.

Saturday afternoon I realized my little man needed ANOTHER hair cut. I was sort of dreading taking him because I knew it would be tough to get him to sit still and not scream throughout the whole cut. I called and got an appointment. I had to force myself to get into the car to take him. I said a silent prayer that Max would be easy as he was getting his hair cut.
Can I just say that my sweet angel boy was exactly that. A sweet angel boy. He didn't cry. He sat like a big boy and said hairs cut over and over. He is just awesome!!!

Saturday night was filled with Chinese food and church. Perfect way to end the day.

Sunday greeted us with sunlight and warmth. I pulled my family out of the house to go for a run along the bosque. It was just beautiful. Max enjoyed the geese. Phil and I enjoyed a little competition of who could run faster. Of course this was a silent competition. As he picked his speed up, I would raise my speed so I was a few strides ahead of him. It made the run go by rather quickly and it kept my mind off of the heavy boy I was pushing in the stroller.

After our run. We rushed home, got ready and went to the circus. Max was super sleepy so my fingers were crossed that he would enjoy it. As soon as the tigers came out he was no longer sleepy. Instead he was the screaming toddler shouting TIGER! ROAAARRR! I couldn't help but laugh. And as much as he enjoyed all the animals and acts, I think he liked the cheese pretzel the best.
And then there was LOVE DAY.

Phil and I have never been big on Valentine's Day. It may sound horrible but I think it is a silly holiday. I think it is even more silly that I indulged in WAY too much chocolate and sweets.

As soon as we got home we ordered out at our favorite restaurant. Phil and Max enjoyed a gourmet pizza and I enjoyed a gourmet salad. We all over did it on the sweets. Which is why we went to the park after dinner to burn off some calories. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!!!! I fell even more in love with my husband. Seeing him interact with Max makes my heart swell. He is such a wonderful daddy and husband. I think I may be the luckiest girl in the world.

After baths, books, and goodnight kisses, Phil and I enjoyed some wine and alone time.

I could bore you with all the work and meetings that were done over this time period, but I won't. Tomorrow is my short day! I am excited to leave early, pick up my boy, and maybe squeeze in a mommy son nap :)
