I have realized how much power lies in one simple choice.
I chose to delete my facebook account so I would have more quality time with my family. I was never on facebook a lot but enough to feel that it was pulling me away from quality time with my hubby, son, and the Lord.
I chose to train for a race. So I have to lace up my shoes and just run. Which I do, and I love it. I went on a run all by myself yesterday. No baby, no B.O.B., no hubby, no girlfriends, just me and my thoughts. I ran hard and it felt so good to have that alone time.
I chose to change my diet and eat healthy. Even though I am missing cheese, I feel great! I have given in to some sweets lately but I NEVER over do it, like I use to. Instead, I have created some delicious healthy alternatives to take care of my sweet and salty tooth. Added bonus, my family enjoys them also!
Kale Chips = DELICIOUS!
Vegan Oatmeal Cookies
and this boy LOVES them!
I chose to go to work part time next year, so I have to make simple sacrifices. No more soy chais from Starbucks for me. Okay, maybe every once in a while.
I chose to become a mother. So even when I am utterly exhausted and Max has been up all hours of the night because of his darn molars, I choose to hold him, kiss him, and love him.
I choose to live my life aligned with the Lord's will for me. I will stand up for what I believe is right and not conform to what others think is best for me.
I choose to forgive.
I choose to be content when I have a lot and I choose to be content when I have a little.
I choose to be thankful for my blessings.
I love your postings. I hope you don't choose to give this up. It will be great for you to look back at in the years to come.
