We sang the itsy bitsy spider and played peek a boo.
This is my sweet boy making the spider with his hands. ADORABLE, RIGHT?!?
(These pictures were taken yesterday, but this boy would play peek a boo and sing the itsy bitsy spider all day if he could, oh wait he does do that :))
I knew it was time for a nap when Max handed me his lovey and said, nap. Have I mentioned he is SO easy ;).
While the little one got some beauty sleep, Phil and I did a bible study together via the tele. It is so nice to have a hubby in love with the Lord. Makes for one heck of a marriage :) We have both set a goal to spend more time in His Word, and I have to admit Phil and I's relationship seems so much stronger. Not that it was ever really weak.
I went out with a girlfriend Friday night for some dinner, drinks, and shopping in Nob Hill. She talked me into joining Albuquerque Fit. Albuquerque Fit is a group of runners that meet 2 times a week to run and train for a race. You run during the week by yourself, in my case I will run once with my buddy and then the other 2 runs will be just me. Saturday morning I woke up early, bundled up, and met my dear friend in the 20 degree weather with about 70 other crazy people to run. And it was good. I need that me time. I loved running outside, along the bosque, hearing my each step hit the pavement. I forget how much I love running. It is my therapy! Today we are blessed with a warm 60 degree day. It will be our last warm day for awhile. Snow and frigid temps are in the future. So you better believe the Friedman Family took full advantage of the sun and warmth. There was a run with the B.O.B. It always feels good to take the family out and do something active together. Of course I over bundled Max and in the middle of the run, I realized that I was in a tank and Max was covered head to toe.
Needless to say, I did remove some of the layers.
After our run, probably a good 3 miles, we came home and enjoyed a yummy lunch. It involved some red pepper hummus, wheat wrap, and carrots. Okay and maybe a little peanut butter and jelly, for Max of course.
We then ventured out to enjoy a stroll at Albuquerque Uptown. We visited YOYO Bliss. We enjoyed some frozen yogurt. I had a little yogurt myself, don't worry I made sure it was fat free and sugar free, oh and yes cholesterol free.
After our snack we went to Borders, a toddlers dream land. Max had fun and I am pretty sure we upset all the people wanting a little peace and quiet on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. I can't help Max, he can be loud. But aren't all toddlers?

How could I go to Uptown and not stop into Anthropology? I sniffed the candles and tested the perfume. I did walk out empty handed, even though a dress was calling my name. My wallet was screaming no to the $238 dollar price tag. A girl can dream.

Either way we had fun. He makes life so so so much fun!
After our outing we came home and Max napped. Mommy and daddy relaxed.
We went to Mimi and Pop's for dinner. It is our Sunday tradition. Dinner as a family. Max loves going over there. He has a bucket of toys and many people that love him. He loves to visit his Uncle Nathan. Nathan is one of Max's favorite people, he is a wonderful Uncle to Max.
Today was a good day. It is the simplicity of life that made today so wonderful.
I can only hope that this grand Sunday is a preface to what my week will be like.
