Advent Update

Due to our tummy bug that has hit all of us, Advent was put on hold. We played a lot of catch up, trying to get all our activities done.

Advent Day 12:
Make peppermint brownies
Um....YUMMY! These were delicious and no I will not tell you how many I ate.

Max and I had so much fun making these, and there was even no taste test this time.

Advent Day 13:
Color a picture
Okay, so I am pretty sure my son had the best time doing this. He chatted and colored away. He sat and did this for a good 30 minutes, that is a long time for a 15 month old.

So fun I would recommend this to any mommy out there. I am sure we will make this a part of a normal routine. Little does our little monkey know, but Phil and I bought him a toddler art set. I can't wait for him to play with it.

Advent Day 15:
Make Reindeer out of hands and feet
I did this last year, and I loved looking at the differences of his hands and feet. He was so tiny last year. Such a sweet way to remember how itty bitty he once was.

Last year I added a pom pom for a nose and googly eyes, this year my son would pull that off and choke. We opted for crayons instead.

Advent Day 17:
Play in the SNOW!
Okay, how perfect that it actually snowed. Phil and I figured we would have to drive up to Santa Fe. Nope, just had to walk out the front door! I absolutely love how the snow looks when it has not been touched, its like a slice of Heaven. Breath taking beautiful.

Don't judge! But here is Max's first snowman. He did his very best.

  • Hooray! I am on Christmas break. It couldn't have come at a better time. Today we had a 2 hour delay and it was such a blessing! My little 1st graders did an amazing job in their play, but I am so happy that it is over with. So ready for 2 weeks off with my family. Awesome benefit of Phil and I both being teachers!
  • Also, this is night number 2 with out a baba. So far no major meltdowns! WOOT! WOOT!
  • Phil has introduced Maxwell to the tar (guitar). Such a darling way for my boys to bond.

 HAPPY WEEKEND!!!
