Forgive Me...

...but this blog will be overloaded with pictures and video. Oh! and a few complaints.

This past weekend we went on a VERY quick trip to Phoenix to see a great friend get married. The wedding was fabulous, the company was beautiful, and the time spent away was much needed. However, I have one BIG complaint... I. HATE. ROAD. TRIPS. I absolutely despise being in the car for longer then 2 hours. I become restless, I complain, I ask 'are we there yet' more then anyone ever needs to hear. Everyone asked me how the trip was and how Max did when we arrived in Phoenix, I told them that Max did wonderful (not one fuss) but I on the other hand acted like a 2 year old.
So while in the car I occupied my time with Max. I figured I would teach him a few things like where his belly button is and where his nose is. Which by the way, he can point to those body parts when asked. So proud! I also taught my sweet boy some new words. He can say more and use it correctly. He can also say tickle, which is ADORABLE. He will place his hand under his armpit and say tickle...too cute. Hmmm....I also taught him hat and bird. Listen we had a lot of time cooped up in the Lexus and I figured why not teach my boy a few things. I have an overwhelming amount of video of Maxwell talking. Remember I did ask for forgiveness. I will say that the videos are short and sweet.

Please enjoy!

(not too sure why he has to crawl over the cracks and not walk over them?!?!?)

I got a fun video of Max just cracking up!

To further pass the time Max and I did a mommy and son photo shoot courtesy of the iPhone4.

Please notice the book in the above picture. This book is titled, Duck and Goose get a Pumpkin. I read this story to Max oh probably 17 times. I can read this story with my eyes shut and Max thinks he can read it upside down. We are quite the pair!

No road trip would be complete with out eating at a fast food joint that adds 5 pounds to your frame and only costs six bucks to feed a family of three. Can you believe the mostly all organic mama and family ate at Taco Bell???? I know gross, but we did what we had to do! After I ate my burrito (which by the way was terrible) and after Max finished his cheese crisp I took some pictures of my blue eyed babe! These pics made the trip to Taco Bell worth it :)

After our quick trip trapped as a family in the car for 13 hours we survived...some better then others and I am sure you can figure out who was the one who almost didn't make it!
Also, after 13 hours trapped as a family I realized a few things, things that I already knew, but things that I needed to be reminded of. Funny how God works sometimes!

I realized that I am so madly, deeply, head over heels in love with this man.

I realized that no matter where I am in life, in Phoenix, Albuquerque, stuck in a Lexus, I LOVE being this boys
mom mom. He is such a blessing. He just makes life so much more fun...I know its cliche to say but it is so true! And even though I thought the car doors were closing in on me this boy made it all better.

I realized that my son resembles Linus from Charlie Brown.

I realized that at the end of each day I want to end it like this...
Pure Mommy Heaven!
