Through the eyes of a child...

I was able to see the world through Max's eye's this weekend.

We went to church and sat outside. The weather was gorgeous and I just couldn't pass it up. We sat on the soft green grass. Max had such a hard time with the grass. He did not love it at all. It was hysterical to see that he was not into the texture. He would try to crawl on it and he would lift his leg up as if he were a dog going potty! I was unable to take a picture because I didn't have a camera, not even my phone! Don't worry this was a lesson learned.

Max and I on our way to church!

Max thinks that he is able to climb the stairs, and I think he is pretty close. Clearly this won't happen unless I am there to catch him. He has figured out that he has to lift his leg pretty high to climb up. Absolutely adorable to see him discover how his tiny little body works!

We had a small BBQ on Monday with some great friends. They have a little boy who is exactly 2 weeks younger then Max. It was so fun to see them play and interact with each other and it was very nice to have adult conversation over some yummy food. We did go swimming and Max enjoyed it yet again. I do think that the water puts Max to sleep. He was falling asleep in his floaty and it was ever so precious!

Today we decided to go to the Bio park. We visited the botanical gardens and the aquarium. I was SO excited to take Max. I felt like a little kid going to Disneyland. He soaked in everything with long stares and little screams of excitement.
He especially loved the Koi fish pond. He was not very happy that I didn't let him take a dip with all the fish. One day he will understand.

He loved, loved, loved the big aquarium with the big fish and sharks. He also loved to watch the manta rays, there was one in particular that was just putting on a show for Max and his little eyes couldn't stop watching. I loved being able to see the excitement of seeing something new through Max.
The world
is very big Maxwell and my hope is to show you just how amazing it is.

I recently read a post on a beautiful lady's blog about how she lost her precious boy to SIDS. It broke my heart reading this. I held Max very tightly that night and cried. I am just in awe of how much he means to me and how thankful I am for his health. It also opened my eyes to really cherish every moment that I have with Max and my husband. Life is short and memories are the one thing that we can keep. Materials and money will not last. Loving my family and enjoying ever single moment that I have with them will last. And really who wouldn't want to spend time with them, they are more then amazing?

I am still in complete shock that my baby boy will be 9 months old on Thursday! 9 MONTHS OLD!!!!! Am I already putting plans and decoration ideas together for his 1st birthday??? I definitely am :)

Enjoy!
