Swimming Pools, Play Corners, and Teeth!

We have had a busy weekend! I am writing this post as my sweet boy is passed out after an afternoon in the pool. Mimi and Pop have a pool and today we decided that the weather was too gorgeous to pass up time in the water. Max LOVES water, so I knew he would have a fun time and boy did he!
It was his first time to go swimming so of course I had to take a million pictures to capture his curiosity and the joy of exploring something new.

First we had to lather him up with sunscreen...
and then put these adorable swim trunks on.
I held him first as we got in the pool. He had no idea what to think.
I then sat him on the step and he began to really warm up to the idea of the whole swimming thing.
Once he started splashing I pulled him in with me!

Mimi and Pop bought him this floaty for Easter and he really enjoyed being in it.
Perhaps he enjoyed it a little too much!?!
All in all swimming was a success. I know that their will be lots of pool time this summer.

My name is Crystal and I am a clean freak.
I hate to admit it but my house has to be spotless and as you can imagine a spotless house with an 8 month old is next to impossible. I have been really good adjusting with things(toys, paci's, blankets, etc.) lying around.
However, this changed over the weekend. I realized that because we don't have a play room I needed to make an area for Max. Yes, Max does have his nursery, but honestly we don't spend much time in their. The time spent in the nursery is either while sleeping, changing diapers, or getting him dressed. SO, I made an area for my sweet boy in our den. It is a work in progress but I am glad to report that he was happy with it and so am I!
This Natural Foam Mat should be at my house in 5-7 business days. I ordered it from One Step Ahead, I think I like that store a little too much.
Max thought he was in heaven having his toys so accessible. I am thrilled that I am able to provide him a space of his own.

Max has cut his first tooth. I have been trying to get a picture but I have failed many times. I noticed it last night when I was feeding him. The night before he woke up around 2:30 a.m. crying. I tried to comfort him and put him back to sleep in his crib, but he wasn't having it. I brought him up to bed with me and let me tell you what...I enjoyed every single breath that he took lying against my chest. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that I am able to bring this boy comfort that no one else or nothing else can bring. Sorry friends and Tylenol, I am the master pain reliever! I hope to one day soon get a picture of this beautiful piece of enamel that is causing so many sleepless nights in the Friedman household. The moment I do I will post it.
