What is he doing now?

Everyone has been asking me what Maxwell has been doing.

A LOT!

He is one active little boy, which I love.

His 6 month check up with the doctor went great. His doctor said he was perfect, I have to agree!
Max is 26 1/2 inches long, he has grown 7 1/2 inches since birth. He also weighs 15 lbs. 13 0z. He has gained 9 lbs. since birth!

Max can roll over both ways, he can sit up, he can scoot to were he wants to go, and he can CRAWL! If you try to make him crawl he won't do it, he wants to do it on his own. Such an independent little booger. He can also pass a toy from hand to hand and he can put his feet in his mouth. As of last night he sits in a high chair at restaurants. We went to The Melting Pot and he loved being able to sit at the table and look around.

His eating habits really haven't changed. He eats about every 4-5 hours and will eat solids for breakfast and dinner. He LOVES mangoes, squash, and carrots. He tried strawberries last night and really liked them. He isn't very
chunky but he is getting those cute baby rolls that I love.

His sleeping habits are wonderful! I feel so lucky to have a baby that sleeps so good. He still takes 2, two hour naps during the day. He has a very strict bed time routine, around 7:00 we put Max in the bath, we don't always wash him, and we let him soak and play for about 15 min. After the bath I give him a massage (lucky baby) and put his P.J.'s on. I then feed him with very dim lights and quiet background noise. After the feeding I read him 2 books and I cuddle and kiss him. When he is very drowsy I lay him in his crib or cradle, around 7:45 - 8:00 (YES HE IS SLEEPING IN HIS CRIB, I just like to have him next to me still :)) and he falls asleep on his own. He does not sleep swaddled anymore. He will sleep till about 6-6:30. Sometimes, very rarely, he will wake up around 2-3:00 a.m. hungry.

He is laughing up a storm and babbling A LOT. He is really putting the 'b' sounds and 'd' sounds to good use. He can mix some consonant and vowel sounds together. He still squeals loud when he is overly excited and moans before he falls asleep.

He will probably kill me in 10 -15 years for putting this on the blog but I just have to share it! He has discovered his penis. In the bathtub he is very curious and tries to grab it and pull it towards his mouth. He has also discovered that if he pulls it, it hurts.
Sorry Max, I had to share it! I love you sweet boy!

He is in the level 2 class at Gymboree and he loves it. This class really helps him to discover how his little body can move.

We also received his Passport, this summer the family is traveling to Boston and then we are off on a Canadian Cruise. Phil is so super excited to take Maxwell to his first Red Sox game. That will be a memory Philip will never forget.

To sum it up, we are very proud parents! We are over the moon in love with Maxwell...but I'm sure you already knew that!

(Everyone says he is such a good baby and asks me if he cries...Yep he does!)

Philip and I are on Spring Break this week. We are thrilled to have a full week as a family. We are so blessed to have such wonderful careers that really allows us to focus on our family. We will be baby proofing the house today, I didn't realize all that Max will be able to get into. So wish Phil and I luck today as we make the toilets, electrical outlets, stairs, and cabinets safe!
