Phoenix

We had such a great time in Phoenix. It was ABSOLUTELY wonderful to be with GREAT friends and family. I was so super nervous to fly with Max. Little did I know that he would be just fine. He fell asleep when the plane took off and woke up as we were landing (both times). He also did great being at the Ewing's house. I thought he would have a tough time adjusting to a new place, new people, and new routine. Again, he did great. He barely took a nap while we were there. He was just too excited to see all the happy faces. He slept great each night, I figured he wouldn't. I learned on this trip that Max is a very easy going baby...he does great on a routine or off a routine. Thank you Lord for such a WONDERFUL baby.

THURSDAY
When we landed, my aunt Karen and cousin Savannah picked us up. We went back to there house and visited and relaxed. Max had a great time playing with his cousin Savannah. She let him have her walrus she got from Sea World.
After we played and relaxed, we went shopping. In Phoenix they have a Carters Outlet and an Osh Kosh Outlet. Lets say that I bought more then Max needed. After shopping we had dinner with all the family and visited. Since we were up SUPER early (4:00 a.m.) we called it a night and went fast to sleep.

FRIDAY
I woke up to a happy little boy. He was very spoiled and got to sleep with mommy ALL night, maybe I was the spoiled one.
We had a coffee date with a college friend and roommate. She has a very cute little boy named Colton, and Max just watched Colton in awe. I think Max loved watching him walk around the coffee shop.
After our coffee date. We went back home and enjoyed the Phoenix sun. While Max was sleeping I was able to lay out, I was a bit nervous to put on a bikini, but felt good about my body...I did just have a baby :) Once Max woke up we had a lunch picnic outside. Jen picked flowers for Max and he LOVED playing with them.
After our picnic. My aunt Karen played with and fed Max. I think she fell in love with him and he definitely fell in love with her.
Jen planned a BBQ to welcome us and Max. I was able to see old friends and had such a great time catching up and meeting their adorable bundle of joys. Max met Beth's baby Brilyn (beautiful name) and he loved her. He also loved pulling her cute curls.
Max also met Leah's baby Landon. He was such a sweet baby, laid back like Max. They were able to play while Leah and I chatted about mommy hood. Leah had her little man 14 days after I had Max.
Max, Ryan, and I danced a little while we waited for the guests to arrive. I love this picture, it truly captures the happiness of that moment.

Max played with Jackie. Max also loved watching Jackie's little guy, Noah. He is almost three and he is a hoot!
Max was also able to play with his other CRAZY cousins.
Savannah told me, word for word, "I want this picture on the blog" so... Savannah here it is.
Friday was a great night, we were exhausted after the fun filled festive evening.

SATURDAY
I woke up early and went for a gorgeous hike/run with Karen and Ryan. Daddy and Max spent the morning together. Once we got back home we got ready for Max's first ball game. We went to the Diamondbacks and Mariners spring training game. A lot of the friends from the night before joined us. Although it was hot, we all had a great time.
Leah's little boy Landon is a pro at pictures! He smiled every time he saw the camera, I loved it!
I took a short video of the boys playing. It was filmed upside down, sorry. I think that they wanted to eat each other :)

Karen and I went shopping at
H&M after the game. We then enjoyed a night of dinner, drinks, and card games with fabulous friends.

SUNDAY
We woke up early to catch our flight.

at the airport, tired and ready to go home

We want to thank everybody for such a great trip. We had a fantastic time. Jen and Ryan thank you so very much for opening your home to my family. Thank you for the BBQ to welcome our sweet baby boy. Thank you for making Max's first trip a trip we will never forget!
